Easy Leftover Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients:

·   leftover pieces of cooked chicken (to add more flavor use pieces of leftover BBQ chicken)

·   4-6 cans of chicken broth

·   Half of a bag of wide egg noodles

·   Teaspoon of chicken granules seasoning

·   Dash of onion powder

·   Dash of Accent seasoning powder

·   Dash of garlic powder

·   Dash of pepper

Add broth, chicken, and spices to a medium fire. When broth and chicken boils add the noodles. Continue to let cook until the noodles are tender. Let cool and serve.

 

Makes 3-5 Servings

Almond Butter Cookies

Baking time: 15-20 minutes.

Set Oven to 300 degrees F.

Ingredients:

·         1 cup of butter or margarine, softened

·         1 cup of sugar

·         2 egg yolks

·         ½ teaspoon of lemon extract

·         ¾ teaspoon of vanilla extract

·         ¾ teaspoon of almond extract

·         2 cups of all-purpose flour

·         1 teaspoon of baking powder

·         1/8 teaspoon of salt

·         1 (4-ounce) package of whole blanched almonds, toasted

Directions:
Cream Butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the extracts. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place them about 2-inces apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Press an almond into the center of each cookie. Bake at 300 degrees F. for 15-20 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Cool for 5 minutes before removing cookies from the cookie sheet.

 

Makes 4 ½ dozen cookies.
